It's been a whileI don't get here very much these days but I recently became a father. Here's a few taken about 10 days ago, using the D700 and 85mmm 1.4 lens.

Re: It's been a whileWhat a beautiful baby! Congratulations!
I adore your first photo for it brings the size the little head into context. I also like the second very much, but if I were you I would crop the bottom part making it square so the attention goes directly to the face - no distracting elements should be allowed.
It's been a whileThanks guys. Yep still feels very surreal but the sleep deprivation is v real.
He's one month old tomorrow. LOVING it all. Thanks for the feedback Geoff

Re: It's been a whileFirst photo is beautiful! Cute baby but at 1 month old he should be talking and reading Dostoyevsky. My son was playing chess at 2months old...but he wasn't very smart...I beat him 3 games out of every 4.

Re: It's been a whileGeoff
Just noticed the similarities between the first image of your baby son and your avatar. What a lovely connection! Regards

Re: It's been a whileThe vignette really focuses our attention to the angelic face of the baby surrounded by the caring hands. The lighting is excellent.
I think I would prefer to have the background cushion or trouser-legs removed though. They are a bit jarring. Lovely image. TFF (Trevor)
