Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Portraits from Vivid SydneyFinally I got to use some off camera flash on some people. (Usually people run when I flash )
Learnt a good lesson about always bringing flashlight (to focus) and making a solid snoot (that wouldn't fall off).

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

Re: Portraits from Vivid Sydney#1 I find a rather striking image. Lots of interesting elements and technically tricky. There's just something about #2 that I find off putting....can't put my finger on it.

I must admit that I didn't notice this on the LCD at the time! Even if I did, I am not sure whether I would have distracted Leigh any longer for another shot. [ I couldn't find my remote and flash triggers in the dark and there was alot of mucking about!] As you can see this exposure was 60 seconds but I couldn't set off the flash until well in to the exposure...
