Not quite ...
Although he says he might have one in his hands on Wednesday, he also states that this, as well as his "announcement" of the 55-200 (IIRC) VR, are both official rumours. So, could somebody please explain to me exactly what makes a rumour official? Nothing yet from Nikon on any of the rumours, official or otherwise. Nothing as yet on DPR either. <Yawn> g.

Well this is great news for me if its true.
In the market for a D40, not too keen on the D40x (unless they throw a better kit lens on it), but this will more than likely drop the price on the D40 Last edited by Tim on Tue Mar 06, 2007 12:26 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Jesus....get ur act together and give "high" end users a FF LOW NOISE CMOS sensor. Dan
Gary, it's the same as a Core-Promise and a Non-Core-Promise. Your answer may be with the PM. Steve.

Certainly looks like a winner for Nikon when it comes to entry-level DSLR. Would also make a great walk about camera if one wants more then a P&S.
