I took these this morning using a 50mm/1.4 and 60mm/2.8 Macro both with a 36mm extention tube in line.

Steve,

You've got the '/' wrong in the urls you've posted to the images (And in your last thread too)

You'll need to edit the URL's and put / instead of \

I got a nasty Kenko set on EBay for about $40 plus shipping. They are a bit rough and if I was purchasing again I would get the Nikon set.

The still work fine but seem to make the autofocus work pretty hard

I don't think the Nikon set will give you any Autofocus at all (not that it matters if all you are doing is macro)

Not sure also about metering with the Nikon Set.

I got a set of new Kenko ones a while ago and I think I paid $250 or so (???). Full autofocus and metering.

Build quality leaves a bit to be desired though and they don't mate together all that tightly... I've had no problems though

I really like macro stuff and these are great especially the last one... Just wondering about the OOF areas and the highlights though, they seem to be octagonally shaped, is that due to the blades in the lens? :?

Mein gotten himmel the DOF looks so short and at F16 too, can you go smaller with that lens/ext tube combo?

Mudder,
the 50/1.4 only goes down to F16. thats why I changed to the 60 macro during the shoot because it will do f40 - but of course I didn't have enough light to go there.

I just checked the lens and both have 6 blade apertures so I guess that there is some interaction there causing the hex shaped flares.

:?: :?: Anyone have a solution?? :?: :?:

Really nice shots. Interesting subject too. I love the way their tongues curl up like that.
