Don McCullin exhibition at the Sate Library. Nearly 200 superb B&W images....A lifetimes work by this talented and important British photographer. It is the first time he has exhibited in Australia and a visit to this show should be on the calendar of every serious photographer. It ends 26 October.

I went down to the city yesterday to pick up my repaired 200/2. Sadly it wasn't working properly so it is still there.
BUT i did go to this exhibit. It made the trip worthwhile.
Some very powerful images there. Not sure I would say I liked them, but they were brilliant.
I recognised quite a few from as far back as my childhood.
I would second Matt's recommendation. Everyone should try very hard to see this exhibit.

Not working properly....that does not sound good. Related issue or something new?

VR is not working. Neither he nor I checked VR before it went in, so it may be previously unnoticed damage from the fall. Or it may be as simple as him forgetting to plug a cable back in.

Fingers crossed that it is the latter....much simpler and cheaper in that case.
