Playing with New Nikon R1C1

Postby birddog114 on Mon Feb 27, 2006 7:21 pm

Hey All,

Nikon R1C1 Wireless Close-Up Speedlight Flash System with Commander SU-800 (Macro Kit A) - (Guide No. 66'/20 m at 24mm, with Both Heads)

I have an order for the above kit from one of my coporate customers, I should be able to loan it from them for few days and will have it at the mini meet on March 25th. Actually, they want me to train them how to use the new toy so I'll have it in my hand at least a week.

Macro shooters, who's going to the mini meet on Mar. 25th are able to play with it or use the SU800 to command multiple SB800s.

Next one with extra flash heads.

This kit only comes with two flash heads! get another 4 flash heads at around US$150.00/ each and you'll have lot of fun with it.

Yes, each head required one 123a 3v Lithium battery.

Blacknstormy,
Don't worry, if I can get a spare unit (I'm trying to), I'll send up there for evaluation a week or two at one of the mini meet.

The units are very light and the batteries last for quite a time.

Unfortunately my SB800 is with doctor Maxwell so at this time so I can’t take a pic of the system in use.
