Really fascinating to see your detailed documentation of the dives. Invaluable info for any one keen to dive in the same areas!

You should consider making a seachange perhaps?

That Lion fish was magnificient! @Aloara Wreck, Mele Bay, Efate, Vanuatu

The tropicals seem to be more colorful overall.

Thanks, Suren.

Tropical fish tend to me more colourful than their temperate counterparts. Something to do with the much higher diversity and needing to be able to distinguish others of their own species. Additionally, reef areas (which are generally away from the coast) are lower in nutrients and tend to have less algal cover - or at least less obvious algal cover. You'll notice that the backgrounds in the tropical shots are usually much cleaner and also the water is much clearer.

The lionfish was one of three that were side-by-side when I came upon them. I have shots of the three but as they end up being smaller in the frame and their more water between the camera and them, they don't look as good.

Andrew, they really are spectacular images. Many people don't realise just how difficult it is to take these photos.
