Just got a great plug in for CS (and CS2 if yu can afford it).
It's called: DIGITAL GEM Airbrush Professional Plug-In
and can be found here It may not be everyones cup of tea, but it produces extremely good 'airbrushed' results for portraits and is easy to use. I haven't played around with it completely, but the results are pretty good. You can vary the amount of airbrushing from quite heavy to slight. It whitens teeth, gets rid of shiny skin, wrinkles and a multitude of afflictions us normal people have.
Heres an image I quickly did:
My wife (left) and her cousin. It's maybe a bit overdone, but it give this result with 1 click of a button.
You can download it and trial it for free if you want, it's about 5 meg.
 Just for your info.

Not sure if the plug-in introduced this, but it looks like the colour is messed up, there seems to be a certain amount of colour fringing, sort of purple casts.

Yes, I noticed that. Seems more apparent on the small image, rather than the full size one. Wonder why? Oh well,, something else for me to ponder.... 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc http://www.awbphotos.com.au

 Hi,
The plug in you mention is one I use and many other glam photographers use. If the rest of your work flow and white balance is good then the plug in works a GEM (soz about the pun).

I was just thinking about the purple tinge. I think it comes from reducing the red in the image due to sunburn. Wonder if that did it???
I suppose it's like anything, I just need to learn to use it properly. 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc http://www.awbphotos.com.au

I would say the plugin is too harsh with the airbrush. If it produces the result in a layer, reduce the opacity a bit for a better blend.

I've since used again, and dialed back the settings, resultinh in a light 'make up' look, but still getting rid of tiny blemishes.
I think this one is a keeper.
