There was this absolutely breathtaking photograph of a leopard taken by marc. It is notoriously difficult to even see leopard in Africa, let alone produce an image of this outstanding quality.

Any one of these could be PotW, and there were other worthy contenders too.
But I have chosen an image by bigsarg7 as this week's Photo of the Week. Not only because it is a fabulous image, but also because it represents a member taking steps forward in her craft. Kristen has invested in a lighting kit, and straight out of the box she has produced this wonderful child portrait. Here is the original thread - worth reading for the discussion on lighting.
