POTW 2011-6-10

Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Apologise for this being a little late..
I have chosen this picture by biggerry.....it has a superb sense of scale, beautiful bokeh....and you only discover the subject after your breath has been taken away. Well done Gerry!

Congrats Gerry. I was there when he took this shot and it took a keen eye to see this and capture it in it's glory.

ta Matt, taken with my favourite lens, the 105mm f2.5, this coupled with the D7000 and iso 2000 it makes getting images alot easier..it took me a few shots to get that one, i just wish that other bridesmaid had crouched down...
