I took this photo some years ago. As I walked into the State Library of Queensland I saw what it looked like umbrellas hanging upside down suspended from the tall ceiling. It was after I took the photo that I realized what they were. I hope you like it.

An evening walk when suddenly you realize all the elements are balanced for just a precious moment. You want to capture that magic balance of your internal emotions in tuned with nature to prove to yourself it’s possible.

I took this picture a couple of years ago, but it could have been last night when I walked by. It was erected in 2009 to celebrate both World Expo 88’s 20th anniversary and Riverfire. It is now an iconic structure in the city.

As I walked along a Sydney street a rainy day, I saw the subject of this week’s picture. It is a native of Central and South America and also lives in the Andes where temperatures are cool, and the air is moist. Fuchsias were named after a 16th century German botanist - Leonard Fuchs. I hope you like it.

Friends took us to lunch at a very nice restaurant with a rather good menu. I ordered a fish main course. It turned out to be a beautiful pan steamed piece of fish on a bed of black rice risotto topped with charcoal bamboo. Till that very day I had no idea that incinerated bamboo was edible. I hope you like it.

I took this picture a few days ago. We had visitors from Sydney and took them to Sandgate, for a walk by the water. The weather was fine, but on the cool side.

I think the picture speaks for itself. It documents our dependency on the mobile phone and how it demands a constant attention preventing us from enjoying our surroundings.

I took this photo some years ago and I just run into it. I remember looking at the peaceful scene and thinking how simple is life for them. Did you notice the Teal duck?

Few writers have received the international recognition and acclaim than this Spaniard and his fictitious characters have enjoyed for many years now. Recent research points out that his famous characters were based on real people.

I took this photo a few years back (2016). I don't think it has changed a lot since. I remember trying to imagine how this would have look at its prime, full of beauty, power and potential. Just like me now really advancing into decrepitude and slowly turning into a ruin.
