Pull up your pants it's time to danceI'm leaving, on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again.
So as I've come to regard this place as a second home and found some good friends here I was wondering whether anyone fancied hitching up for a couple of drinks or so on the weekend of the 21st some time. Not sure where or when but sometime around then. ANyway, if you can make it cool, if not no worries, you can come and have a drink in England. CHeers Matt
I'll be there in Sydney Matt. I hear the beer in England isn't as good as here (Ireland is a different matter)

Well I'm not too sure really.
It appears that it is the same day as the north forte minimeet so perhaps something in conjunction with that. I'll have a decent long think about this and get back. As for the Hoffmeister, are you saying you want me to turn up in a leather thong? That can be arranged. Matt
Matt - you've been here 2 years and you still call a g-string a thong and a thong a flip flop (I think that's the term you use). Go back to where you came from you un-Australian pom. Just kidding - we'll all miss you and Sam mightily. Peter

Matt - I've never met you, but I feel as though I have. Have a safe trip, and hopefully you'll get over there, say 'stuff this' and just come back 'home' to Australia

The Manly Wharf Bar may be a good idea on the Saturday afternoon OR the Manly Skiff club, which is a little smaller and is actually on a deck over the water - it's beautiful. http://www.manlyskiff.com.au/ Geoff

If anyone not from Sydney is interested in a reason to stay the extra day in Sydney on the Sunday (or anyone from Sydney is interested in going out on the Sunday night), the band I'm in is playing The Landsdowne on the Sunday after (October 22) at probably around 7 or 7.30 pm.

Matt - had any thoughts about the Manly Skiff club?

I'm terribly sorry to have left this so late. Crumbs, I'd forgotten about how much effort it takes to move country.
The skiff bar sounds good to me. The thing is, if most people are going to be there then I'm totally happy to come over, take the manly ferry one last time. So where and when is the meet happening and we can arrange at the skiff club after that? Does that sound cool? Matt
Damn. Manly.
I guess I'll be ferrying it back with Matt & Sam. Producer & Editor @ GadgetGuy.com.au

The skiff club was just a suggestion, I'm happy to go anywhere...
Does anyone else have any suggestions/ideas? Geoff

Matt,
Unfortunately I'll be in Melbourne on Friday and Saturday this weekend, so I won't be able to come. Have a great trip back home, and hopefully we'll meet again someday either here or in the U.K! Take care mate.
It would appear the even location is still up in the air. Hopefully I will have spoken to Matt by later this evening and we will confirm SOMETHING
Nice offer of your backyard though Oscar. Geoff

I will be the unfortunate, not able to attend this farewell meeting.
Matt, I wish you the best on the way back to the UK. Come back to visit us once in a while. Not only the forums, but Sydney City... Keep us updated with whatever goes on back there. OK? Or we be ending up organising a mega-meet mission at UK: Searching for the Rokkstar?? lol
Sounds great Matt! The Manly Skiff Club it is! Located at East Esplanade Manly. http://www.manlyskiff.com.au/ The meet should be finished by 2pm, so we should arrange to meet at the Skiff Club at around 2:30pm onwards. Those who are attending the North Fort meet and aren't driving can get a lift down to the skiff club (about 3 mins by car) from people with cars, i.e myself, stubbsy, ? Leon etc etc. The Skiff club is a very pleasant 5-10 minute walk from Manly Wharf. As you get off the Manly Ferry, turn right and walk around the foreshore, and you can't miss the place. Anyone wanting more info etc my mobile number is 0412 752 250. Geoff

I think Glen is the only DSLR male I've seen in a singlet and that was just to intimidate us with his guns!
