DSLRUsers Exhibition - Help me choose too

Postby dviv on Mon Feb 15, 2010 12:27 pm

Hi all,

These are some of the photos I think would make a good canvas print.

Love to hear your thoughts - Some of the are a bit "pre 2009" but whose counting :twisted:

The detail in the rainbow lorikeet's feathers is awesome! Being that I am not familiar with canvas though, I'm not sure how defined this would be on that medium.

But that is my 2 cents!
I'll try to be a bit nicer, if you try to be a bit smarter.

Strelitzia would look great, but at the same time it is a bit generic (hang in office style).

I am glad to see that I am not the only one that is having this problem.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of them but it's 'Dragonfly' by a nose for me.

For me it would be between:
* Noosa sunset, but I don't like the people in it.
* Fireworks
* Sydney Harbour
* Sydney Lights - without the person

Note, I'm thinking about what I (or some other person) might like to have hanging in their house. That's why I think the people (essentially strangers) take away from the images for that purpose.

I would be more inclined to hang, cockatoo, fireworks or sunset. :cheers:

in order of preference...

1) Strelitzia - these colours would look good large methinks...
2) Lorikeet
3) Cockatoo, with a little cropping and contrast..

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
