Adobe cs2Hi everyone, i know i've mentioned it before, I have Adobe cs2 but when i capture images on my olympus e510 in raw, they will not open in Photoshop at all, i have to change them to jpeg first, which kinda deprives the point of shooting in raw. My class teacher says that adobe cs2 isn't recognising the raw format set by olympus, is there a plug in to get for it? or is there any other info you might be able to help me rectify the situation?

Re: Adobe cs2Kristen,
The various versions of Creative Suite use Adobe Capture Raw to do their raw conversions. It is the version of ACR that needs to support the raw format of the camera. I believe that CS2 can only take older versions of ACR and so you won't be able to get native support for your camera with CS2. You could, however, convert the raw images to DNG format and then use the DNG files in CS2. See Digital Negative (DNG) and follow the links to the converter for your OS.
Re: Adobe cs2thanks, i'll look into that. Appreciate it!

Re: Adobe cs2
I think this is the latest camera Raw update for CS2 but i'm not sure if the E-510 is supported or you may have to go to CS3 for camera Raw 5.1 which definately does support it. http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/ ... ftpID=3587 Shane

Re: Adobe cs2
Or (as I suggested earlier) you can just download the free DNG converter and continue to use CS2 without spending a cent.
Re: Adobe cs2is there much difference between cs2 and 3? or are they similar? i totally forgot the DNG idea, thanks for reminding me. I swear having kids makes us women loose our memory! it seems to have that effect on women like me!!

Re: Adobe cs2I would go with the DNG because it is free, otherwise wait for CS4, Nnnsic said CS4 is what we wanted in CS3 and will be worth the wait + money.
