Sydney Christmas Dinner - December 8

Postby gstark on Sun Oct 28, 2007 4:31 pm

Here we go folks! The Sydney Christmas dinner and presentation evening is all set to go. All it needs ... is you.

We're eating at the Rockefeller Bar & Grill, on King St in the city, but you don't need to be Rockefeller to afford this. Damage is just $40 ph, and starting time is 7pm for 7:30.

Menu is as follows

Starters

Chicken Caesar
Salt & pepper squid

Mains

Vegetarian frittata
Rump steak w/ mushroom sauce
Moroccan chicken w/ spicy cous cous

Price for the dinner is $40, including BYO and tea/coffee.

The restaurant has asked that we pre-order our meals, which will make it very easy on the night, as will your prompt payment.

Bookings can be made here.

Numbers are, as always, limited, so please book early.

Thanx to Leon and Manda (Sheepie and Mrs Sheepie) for their help in organising this, and any questions ... just ask.

Important note

or those who have paid their money into Leon's account, could you please check your bank records to see if those funds have bounced. There seems to have been a minor problem in getting the funds into Leon's account, due to an incorrect BSB being advised. But if your funds have bounced, (or even if they have not) please send a PM to Sheepie and he'll give you the correct details so that you may retry your transfer.

Apologies for any inconvenience, and thanx for your cooperation.

to anyone that has, or is about to pay - hold off for a little bit - the initial email had the wrong BSB.

I'm about to send a new email to each of you who have booked with the new details.

If you book from now on, you'll be ok (BSB should be 062124 - please check)

thanks all!

We'll be happy if any visitors from other states want to join us in Sydney.

And I'm also happy to support any interstate people who want to have a dinner in their capital city.

Good news folks, the updated BSB number is correct, and I'm now seeing payments coming through.

Could anyone that doesn't see their previously wrong payment bounce back to them by tomorrow morning please contact me by PM - let's give it until then before we get too concerned (others have been bouncing, so no reason yours shouldn't) :)

I'll start sending out PM's confirming payment receipt tonight/tomorrow.

Unfortunately, Alicia & I won't be able to make the Christmas dinner this year as December is full of birthdays of our family and friends. I know everyone will have a great time, although I am sure it won't be the same without Geoff's mo.

You are obviously not a salesperson Leon - the answer should have been ”just a few left, so hurry and book”

The correct answer should be: "There are only 2 spots left, and I have a couple in the office who are ready to make a deal, but, because I like you more, I am happy to take your booking and tell them there are no spots left. What do I have to do to get you those spots?"

Don't forget to sell the rust proofing as well.

If you have not paid yet (there's only a couple of you), please ensure you put through the transfer tonight - I don't want to be handling cash on the night.

Thanks to all those who have already paid - makes all this much easier to handle :)
