Just to add to the international feel for this shoot I will be in Cambodia which is only a three hour time difference so count me in. :)

Gary,

I think its a great idea sticking to a 50mm prime...
(I just need to get my hands on the canon 50/f1.0 :P )

Count me in with my 50/1.8!

My brother also has one - canon EF 50/1.8 II which I could get my hands on if someone wanted to borrow it... as long as they didnt then take the winning shot!

If anyone is shooting with Minolta, I have an AF 50mm 1.7 and a MF 50mm 1.4 that you can borrow.

Oh happy days, there seems to be nothing like a restrictive (and I use
that work descriptively, not judgmentally) topic/subject/criteria to
excite discussion which occasionally separates itself from our inner
calm. :D

Anyway, I'm in.

Timesnap #2

Postby jwsmith on Thu Jul 05, 2007 1:50 pm

As a newbie in interaction, although not in time as a member, I will see if I can find enough time while on holidays (and enough memory to remember to put on a watch) to take a snapshot at noon.

Once taken, all I will then have to do is read up on how to upload the result.

Cheers

Sorry, I have just arrived home - expected to be back at 12:30, which I
thought was within acceptable limits, but it is 16:00, which clearly is not
around midday.

Merde! Missed it!

It's Emily's 14th birthday today so naturally she dragged Dad off to the shops. Only just got home and saw this. Teach me to be busy and not look at forums as much as I should...

(Incidentally, while Emily's bday is on Bastille Day, my other daughter, Ashleigh, was born on Feb 2: Groundhog Day!)

Finally posted mine - it's a bit short on Exif data as I took it with my AIS 50/1.4. (1/125 @ f2.8 for the record).

We had a bit of a busy day yesterday, so it's not a very exciting shot - a pic of the cat was the best I could come up with

We moved house last week, (after 17 years at the last house) and the old cat's still not too sure about this new place!

I was just wondering if there was any possibility of replacing my posted image with the one I took just prior to it? (I took 4 of the same thing between 12:00:00 and 12:00:59 - not sure how 'allowed' that is!)

Frustration

Postby jwsmith on Mon Jul 23, 2007 8:55 am

Well I took the photo, and finally back where I can get broadband and found the date was set incorrectly on the camera.

Anyone want lots of photos taken purportedly, on the 14th at noon, but with exif data showing the 13th?

Luckily there were no award winning photos.

Oh well, there's always next time
