One week till Christmas

Postby gstark on Sat Nov 18, 2006 12:20 pm

Well, until our Sydney Christmas Dinner.

November 25, In Restaurant, 1/99 Military Rd, Neutral Bay.

I will be closing bookings for this on Monday morning. If you have not yet paid, expect an email from me over the weekend. :)

Apart from our prize givings and annual observances, Santa Poon has sent, and I have received, yesterday, a gift bag of goodies guaranteed to put a smile on the face of any photoholic.

We have camera remotes and batteries, flash diffusers, LCD screen protectors (a new item Poon is stocking), a Benro ballhead, and a Bagman bag.

These gifts will only be available to those of you at the Chrissie dinner.

So be there, or miss out.

Yip, I am walking if that counts  If you are coming from the city catch any Neutral Bay, Mosman or Northern Beaches bus preferably one which goes via the freeway (they leave from the eastern side of Wynyard Park in Carrington St). Get out at the first stop after the freeway, at Coles / The Oaks pub, walk 30metres to the corner of The Oaks and In Restuarant is two doors down from the Vodafone shop on the diagonal opposite corner. Total distance from bus stop = 50m :D

ps if you are unsure where the stop is, just ask the driver to throw you out at The Oaks pub, they all know where it is

I would therefore suggest everyone comes down to Gore Hill Park to cheer on Cammeray Cricket Club to help score a mountain of runs quickly and then bowl the opposition out very quickly so we can finish up well before 6pm  Either that, or I turn up to dinner in my whites! (Just kidding, 7pm sounds doable).

And a reminder regarding corkage. The venue is BYO & licensed and the corkage fee is $0 per bottle. And that is not a typo. There is NO corkage charge, so feel free to bring something delicious to drink and maybe even share some with your fellow forum members.
