I searched through "Important links" area and didn't find this link I'd like to share with you:

DOF 1.0 is a program for photographers that computes depth of field of lens given its focal length, f stop, resolution and focus distance. It reports the near and far focus limits and the hyperfocal distance (the minimum distance you can focus at and still keep infinity in focus).

I made my own a little while back in an Excel worksheet just for fun. Easy to do, the math was pretty basic. Displays DOF, near and far focus plus hyperfocal. Thought about doing a Java version but have not got around to it.

Link if anyone is interested http://www.pixspot.com/albums/userpics/ ... ulator.xls

hi Matt,

I saw few Excel calculators for PocketPC but the problem is that MS Excel and MS Word for PocketPC themselves are crap. They are eating whole available memory and then freezing

This little application seems to be well

Whoops.. I missed the Pocket PC bit - mine is for just the regular old PC.

Cheers
