Looks like another aperture, lightroom clone. Could be good!

Is this to replace NC 4.4.0?

That's interesting.

I'm reviewing a soon-to-be released product with a very similar name at the moment.

Ah, the culmination of Nikon and Nik multimedia joining forces. :) Looks great.

There's more detail here

Edit: There is also new Nikon View Pro. What's unclear is if local editing is possible in this new version of Capture (eg to remove dust bunnies or do cloning). I'd say don't throw out Photoshop just yet

Some more on this story. According to the press release on the Nik Software site "Nikon has made a capital investment in Nik Software, Inc" and "Nikon and Nik will co-develop software products and distribute those products through Nikon’s world-wide sales channels while Nik Software, Inc. will continue to independently develop and support its Nik branded software products to its world-wide customer base."

Watch this space.

Thanks for the info, this looks very interesting... Makes me wonder how good things like CA correction could be (considering NC4 which seems to do a good job), considering the lens vendor is involved with the s/w being developed, sounds very promising...

from the link supplied, my guess is it does.

Selective tools – include Brush, Lasso and Marquee (four kinds), Gradient and Fill/Remove, for positive or negative application of enhancements.

Hopefully it won't chug as much as NC.
