Hmmm    so now instead of needing 4 x 4gb cards I will only need 2 x 8 gb cards :!: Think of the weight savings 8)

On the wallet at the least

What is expected ETA? This month? Or more likely mid Jan?

LostDingo,
It's not worked that way.

Still with 2 x 4Gb card + 4 x 8Gb card. No more worry about the PSD and hate it so far.

This month is the ETA, ready for the D200. I can shoot all day and night long without running out of film.

I'll have 4 x 2Gb (45x) surplus stock will be at very special price at the twilight meet.

I managed to lose 2 x 1 GB cards somewhere in Europe too (if you're in Innsbruck and you find them there's a reward! ). Wasn't very pleased about it either, but what can you do? :( I'll most probably pick something up at the twilight meet too, but 8 GB is just overkill for me at the moment. :D

Surprise me alot! I never lost my CF cards, I have 10 (6x 4Gb + 4 x 2Gb) and have them in my bag all the time, I do count & check them before I go and after the shooting.

Yup, same with me! I did something different on the day in question though, which is why I lost them. I was going on a hike up the mountain, so stripped all the weight out of my backpack that I could. In doing so I put the 2 x 1 GB cards in my pocket instead of in the Lowepro battery + card case... which was my downfall. :( :(

MCWB, I recently lost a 512mb card in some park somewhere.

I really need to get more careful with my cards.

I don't have any 1Gb card in use with my camera in the last 12 months now.

The 4 x 2Gb card surplus stocks will be on real special at the twilight meet.

And then 4Gb + 8Gb will be my digital film from now on.

Bummer! I'm gonna miss that one.

You know, as user of a "low-res" camera I can fit 320 uncompressed RAW's onto a 2GB card...

Cheers

I will quite happily accept any "trash bin" donations of 1 & 2GB CF cards

There's a mini meet by mid-Feb. But then all will back to normal or higher.

:( I knew I should have picked up some things at the last minimeet.

Nevermind. Birdy, your "normal" prices are still better than most places' specials ;)
