The last works best with the diagonal framing Rodney.
The other two seem a bit busy with the bacgrounds to me.

Some nice work there Rodney. I lurv street photography....it is so raw and unpredictable. It is also difficult! But when you hit it then it's worth all the effort.

Week 52

and so the year ends... along with it my year long journey photographing street scenes comes to a close (well at least this formal 52/2011 project) - I hope you've enjoyed my exploration throughout the year...

I've even put together a book to be printed (with the help of my eldest daughter) of the images I've posted each week throughout the year - I'll put the order in and will hopefully see the fruits of the labour in a couple weeks time.

and here to end off the year are a couple of images I took with my daughter in the city and on the north side of the harbour in the days leading up to the end of the year...

There are these fantastic pieces in the store windows of the new Louis Vuitton store in the CBD - many sculptures of animals made from leather bags. In this case however I was interested in the reflections in their window along with the art behind the window

Literary Nebula - a great display outside the Kinokuniya bookstore in the Galleries Victoria

Image

I saw this elegant looking young woman with flowing long hair and bright red skirt standing alone waiting above the ferry terminal at Luna Park and knew there was a shot somewhere

Image

I'd been meaning to take this composition for some time (with the harbour bridge looming large in the foreground and the opera house in the middle ground) - In my mind I actually wanted to be a little higher for this shot but I'm still happy with this result. Interested to see what people think of the processing on this

Here is the other image I like of the lady in red (not so red now it's in monochrome :))

Thank you Rodney for your perseverance on this series. But you will have to start a new thread now...52/2012 so we can continue to get our fix of your amazing photos.

I think I prefer the woman in black to the woman in red, but maybe push the red saturation to make her really jump out in the colour version. But then I am colourblind & generally prefer my colour at a level others claim is over saturated.

I have been a regular lurker in this thread and have enjoyed many of the images. Any plans to present these in another format? I have been very tempted to do my 365/2011 as a photobook if I can find the time to sit down and do so.

This has been a very enjoyable effort by youself Rodney. Thankyou.

I like the shared image and the Literary Nebula is great.
I also like the opera house in background and B&W version of the lady in red.
