Sorry...

Just wanted to say sorry I havn't been around lately - my Macbook Pro died (it's my only computer at home and about) so I'm intermittently using one of my daughters laptop (OMFG!! how slow are these old computers with spinning hard drives!!! sigh...)

On a more positive note I was fortunate enough to have my image selected for the SMH/The Age Clique challenge (published in last fridays SMH & The Age) so I'm now amongst other things going to be the proud owner of a big ass A3+ printer (I've never owned a photo printer or done any printing - it's a whole pandora's box I was nicely avoiding!)

Congratulations! There is so much competition nowadays that winning a competition is not as easy as it sounds. Would you mind sharing the link with us? I would love to see your winning picture.

Congratulation Rodney! Well done, but not unexpected knowing the qualty of your work. Owning an A3 printer will open up a whole new dimension to your photography. I love producing prints...especially B&W on Epsons heavy duty matte paper. Enjoy!

Well done on another win Rodney. Home printing can be expensive due the cost of consumables, namely ink and paper.

Agree, and congratulations Rodney.

I tinkered with various A4 options for a while. Had some good results but the cost of the duds is what bites...

If you've got last fridays SMH it's on page 16 - otherwise you can see some of the story online at:

http://www.smh.com.au/national/clique/c ... 35la0.html

and

http://www.theage.com.au/national/cliqu ... 35la0.html

thankyou everyone for your congrats. I've already figured that printing myself will no doubt cost more (just in paper & ink) than ordering them online but presumably by doing some myself I get the joy of learning and playing myself and I'm guessing perhaps some more control over the output and results (different papers, etc).

Sensational. Well done Rodney.

Now, can I please send you some files to practice your printing with. Nothing too big, just a few 15 feet long wall posters... :biglaugh:
