Exactly how on earth to you make a big fuss about something and then not be able to supply?

I bought my Capture NX2 upgrade online at Image Mixer - no problems.

I got an upgrade from ECS in Sydney with no problem. They had just sold one and I got the last one. This was a couple of weeks ago.

I have mine on order through Photo Continental, but they are reliant on Nikon to supply.

Played with capture NX2 and found it very slow to use....... might wait till the full program goes on sale....... mean while updated Capture NX, now 1.3.4, it is now very snappy and a joy to use...... should be worth the wait...... as Nikon are heading in the right direction

Huh?
That makes no sense. NX2 is NX2.
The trial version is the same as the full retail version, except for the 60-day limit.
Are you expecting something different?

Being sluggish is a common complaint with Capture NX2, but I assume you have done everything that is common knowledge?
Installed the C++ redistribute Service Pack
Made your NX2 cache on your second HDD, and not the HDD you have NX2 installed on (assume C:\)
Set your system page memory file to use your second HDD, and not C:\
Have max RAM in your PC (not much point going above 3GB with a 32 bit window O/S though)
Uncheck "keep edit steps active"
Turn off NR at the beginning, and turn back on towards end of image edit

If you are playing with just "happy snaps", and don't really care too much, then Lightroom is a quicker, and somewhat more user friendly application.
NX2 is a dog of an application, but a keen eye for detail will reveal how much better it is for processing your Nikon RAW files.

:D

the program is very slow, trial version or full version makes no difference to me, but I can wait, so CaptureNX 1.3.4 does a good job and is much quicker on my system

as far as the rest of your suggestions to improve performance are no good to me...... as I run Power-Macs, and top of the line 24-in iMac....... you should do your research

........ I guess you have never looked at my web site, as if you had, you will notice that there are not a lot of "happy snaps".

Lightroom I also have, but Capture NX is much better for Nikon Raw files and at the moment much quicker to use than CNX2........ but as stated, Nikon is heading in the right direction

I just installed Capture NX 2, it is slow, but it doesnt ruin the colours (I am aware that LR/LR2, CS2/CS3 can remedy this problem by using custom WB) and the spot fixer thingy does the job so I think I will buy it later on. But I will have to play with it more before I make that decision

:ot: Anyone know a good raw processor for the Fuji S5 Pro? (I am trying to find an alternative to Adobe)

I will be getting NX2 as soon as I can, The only gripe I have ever had with NX is the lack of spot removal tool, and have never had any problem with speed, exept when I ran it on a PC once. Gave up on PC's a long time ago and now run two intel duo core Mac's, speed is not an issue.
I run color efex pro 2.0 with NX and feel it completes the program, should be included with it at purchase I think.

I have aperture 2, and CS3, and still perfer NX with color efex as you can do the RAW adjustments and then complete the image editing all in the one program without changing file type.
