Quick question RE D70 shutter lag

Postby greencardigan on Thu Dec 01, 2005 11:34 am

Just wondering if using the D70's inbuilt flash in commander mode results in any increase in shutter lag?

Not that I can see.
The only thing is the pre flash that is required to both set flash exposure and trigger remote. So it will look like it's taken a pic and then the remote flash will fire. I don't think the commander mode on the inbuilt affects shutter lag. Could be wrong.

The IR transmission has to be much faster than the shutter lag. I would therefore say no

Thanks,
I thought the pre flashes might make a noticable difference.
