Like this Kipper? Didn't post it as was very ordinary shot by me and thought it might remind some of the Warriorvirus

Am happy to help defray costs.

Don't worry Glen, your cake will reside in the memory of many and on their waists, I for one am carrying about 1/2kg on my belly. :D

I would like to have a full restore, but like all am confident that gstark and the administrators will do what is appropriate.

Hackers and virus manufacturers are the bane of a free and open internet. Just look at the pain they have caused here and tell me what he/she gained.

I vote for full restore....far too much valuable info from the past year to lose. But ultimately, it's your decision, Gary. Good luck!

I would vote for loosing the old data on one condition, that the counter would reset to zero for all members, its the only way we could temporarily catch up to birddog/

I am too for a full system restore, all the memories of the past amazing year on the site would be faded before long, all the POTW's...all the fun times, the reviews the everythings...a full restore is (in my opinion) the only option. I'll do whatever I can to help, if there's anything?! :)

Full restore has been requested.

We'll be taking daily backups of the current dataset until the restore has been completed, thus hopefully permitting us to keep most of this data as well.

Thanx y'all for your patience and words of confidence.

Because this topic is in the News Forum, I think it will have restrictions that prevent this.

I'm guessing only that members of the moderator group would be able to.
Probably an innocent oversight when the topic was first posted.

Yep, but a deliberate decision on my part when I created this section. I saw (and still see) no need for polls in this section as a normal daily event.

yep... full restore seems the logical option... let us know if some extra technical assistance might be of value Gary... also if any assistance re any longer term designed solutions might help.

Damn. I didn't realise that only the mods and admins could vote. Lol.
My fault.

Okay people, sometime over the next 3 days, this board will revert to what it was like on Monday or Tuesday.

I've noticed that we have people joining at the moment... rest assured, the backups we're doing ourselves should let us restore you to the database once the restoration is complete.
