Who's getting hungry

Postby gstark on Thu May 19, 2005 2:16 pm

If you have placed our anniversary email address into your email address book please REMOVE IT AT ONCE. We are now getting spam at this address, and I am not at all happy about that. Also, do NOT send us email in HTML. That is NOT what HTML is designed for, despite Olive Oyl's abhorrent implementations of it within email clients.

As I've said, we're making good progress towards organising the event of the year, our first anniversary weekend extravaganza!

Birddog has made the booking for our Friday night feast, and a feast is exactly what it will be .....

1/ Mix Entrée
2/ Deep fried live lobster salt & pepper
3/ Peking duck (with second course: San Choy Bow)
4/ Satay Seafood combination
5/ Filet steak black pepper
6/ Pork spare ribs with Peking sauce
7/ Crispy Skin chicken
8/ Two kind of mushroom with vege.
9/ Special fried rice
10/ Singapore rice noodle
Dessert: Plate of fruit.

The Friday dinner will be held at a different venue from where we had our Christmas dinner; this venue should be able to more comfortably accommodate the numbers we're expecting.

The new venue is:
Sunny Seafood Restaurant
320 Forest Road
Hurstville NSW 2220
Tel: (02) 9585 1633

The cost for Friday dinner will be about $40/pp.

I'll post the Saturday menu next week, but most importantly, we're starting to run short of available seats for people to park their bums on, so if you've been procrastinating about letting us know that you're coming, put off the procrastination till later, and let us know now.

Otherwise, you might find yourself first in line for the second anniversary dinner. :)

So, we need your names and numbers for the Friday and Saturday dinners, emailed to Anniversary@d70users.com.

And finally, a reminder to Sydney members to NOT come to Birddog's this Saturday morning, but instead to to come to our Sydney Night Shoot on Sunday.

Gary, well organised and even though it is possibly going to exclude our comp organiser unless he sells a few more photos, at around $3 a course for the twelve courses I say thanks to you and Birddy for negiotiating the price downwards.

Scott, sell the image which won the comp for you, that was a cracker

Scott, it wouldn't be the same without you. That shot of yours is stupendous, if it doesn't arouse some interest then Canberra is a photographic wasteland

Nick,

The activities you choose for the weekend are entirely at your own discretion/budget. The only thing we ask is that you prebook everything that you're wanting to do, so that we can cater for numbers.

But ferinstance ... you can do as little as

Friday - dinner only.

Or

Saturday ... dinner only (this one is THE MAIN EVENT, btw)

Or

Friday dinner + Saturday dinner

....

Plus ...

we'll have breakfast sessions, photoshop and lighting tutorials, Sydney shoots (maybe even a shoot-out at Bondi beach or a friendly Westfield centre)

There'll be praying at the VR Temple at 4am Saturday, and lots of Coca Cola consumed at the Sigmathon 2 hours earlier ...

And that's not mentioning the door prizes that we'll be arranging, plus, I expect, special gifts (like the Chrissie watches) that might just turn up for those who are attending.

Have I left anything out?
