Avatar Help - Sizing

Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. Avatar Help - Sizing

I give up!... I did it before but can't repeat it, how do you resize a pic down to the required 100 x 100 pixels max 6KB limit?.... preferably using PS7.

After a dozen attemps at uploading a pic that is less than the above I keep getting the message that it must be under the allowable size.

Tried the "Save for web" feature?

If it's still too big, lower the size a bit more. 100 pixels on either side is the maximum... you can go lower.
