Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. Which website would you recommend to publish my family photos Facebook, Flickr, do you have a free alterntaive? I need them protected.

http://www.redbubble.com is pretty good - and it is Australian, too.

I wouldn't use Facebook - their licencing terms you accept give away too much (potentially) to them.

Flickr have had this problem in the past too.

Free + Protected = No.....

I'd look at paying for an account, probably either Zenfolio or Smugmug? I know Zenfolio offer password protected folders, a watermarking service (at a larger cost - premium a/c).....

Not sure what Redbubble have/do.

Ah... now I understand what you mean by "protected"*, I don't think RedBubble will do what you want.

Yes, I should made it clearer, but also I meant unauthorised people cannot copy the photos.

RedBubble does that bit. You can upload full size images - so large prints can be made, but only small versions are available for display and slightly larger ones can have watermarks, if you prefer. e.g. http://www.redbubble.com/people/andrewt ... d-nautilus
