Wide Angle for Nikon D90 - help please!

Postby Chica on Wed Dec 17, 2008 8:12 pm

Hi everyone

I have a D90 and am looking to buy a wide angle lens for when I am overseas. I want a lens that will give me sharp images without too much distortion.

I have looked at a few and tried them out with my camera and am torn between the Nikkor 12-24 and Sigma 10-20. Any advice or opinions appreciated.

Thanks

Cathy

I would say look at the Tokina 11-16 as well, Mozzie is still waiting for hers (EOS mount) to arrive. Have you considered the Tokina 12-24 as well?

Ebay has had some good bargins on the Nikkor 12-24 as people off load the DX for FX glass. I'd be tempted with the 11-16 because fo the 2.8. Other wise its 10-20 for extreame wide angle of therock solid 12-24 Nikkor.

I had the 10-20 on my D300 and loved it.

I had the 10-20, sold and switched to Tokina 11-16, no regrets. It chew the sigma away in any respect.
