warranty - local, o/s, harvey norman

Newer members often state that they think their question is too basic, or stupid, or whatever, to be posted. Nothing could be further further from the truth in any section at DSLRUsers.com, but especially here. Don't feel intimidated. The only stupid question is the one that remains unasked. We were all beginners at one stage, and even the most experienced amongst us will admit to learning new stuff on a daily basis. Ask away! Please also refer to the forum rules and the portal page

How much warranty comes with the d70 bought in aus
1yr???
I assume if you bought overseas that there will be no local warranty here.
What about harvey norman - and buying an extra 2yrs - is that worth it, and are there little clauses to look out for

If the D70 you buy has been imported through Maxwell, my understanding is that you get a 1 year limited warranty.
If you buy overseas, your D70 warranty is not valid in Australia.
If you purchase though the D70 user club, my understanding is that you will receive a 1 year warranty as well.
You can purchase extensions to your warranty through third party warranty suppliers.

Yes - all warrantys have terms and conditions and yes - you would be wise to read the terms and conditions before purchase.

All you have to do is ask whomever you intend to purchase your camera from, what the warranty terms and conditions are.

Here is the Maxwell warranty as quoted from the Maxwell web site
