T-Dimension - I knew this would happen

Postby Kris on Fri Sep 02, 2005 5:33 pm

Purchased the SB800 a few days ago for $369 plus $80 in shipping/handling. The Method of postage was EMS Express (2 to 3 day shipping)

All approved, money recieved, item being shipped

I get a email today with the tracking number stating the package will arrive in 7 to 10 days

I emailed them back saying, bullcrap it will take 7-10 days . She replied saying if its a camera it will take 2-3 days? but its a flash. I said that i would want a shipping refund if it takes anything over 2-3 days

We'll see!

kris,
I have lot of exepriences in these scams:

I'm not going to pour more heat on you, but it's the way which lot of eBay sellers charged you AU$80.00 for shipping by EMS then ship the order by snail mail, they lower the price of the SB800 and marked up the shipping charged. It's the way how almost of HKG sellers making their monies and lure customer into the game by advertising the lowest price.

Same as Digital Rev, they charged AU$20.00 for a small item as the rubbereyecup, promised send by registered mail as their ad on eBay, finally they shipped by snail mail, cost HKG$6.00.
EMS shipping of the flash is just around AU$20.00 - $30.00 and it takes two working days to deliver to you.

Well, at least you bought it at the lower price and be happy.

I understand exactly their scam - I checked EMS postage costs before hand but because even with the postage it w2as still cheap, I took it.

Because it was false advertised I will see the charges back through PayPal & Ebay because it states clearly 2 to 3 days shipping

Anything over that I'll get my money back - this is possible right?

Don't you know the seller has the right to add additional charges to you for the handling as well, not only the shipping cost, same as order was shipped from the US.
They always called " Shipping & Handling charges" as:
- Their times to pack and go to the Post office.
- Packaging materials.
- Their times to make love in the warehouse
- Their times to sitdown and have the "hot manure"
and more.....
Provide that at the end, you received the order in a good shape and condition as stated then nothing you can do.

Thats wrong. Shipping and Handling Charges are listed on the webpage or at the end of the sale - they can't charge you ADDITIONAL costs after the auction

I spoke to the seller on MSN who has confirmed I will have my SB800 by Monday

Hopefully, he's right and it's a smooth(ish) transaction :)

Yes, that what I meant:
Say snail mail postage is $10.00 and handling is $70.00. or EMS is $20.00 and handling fees is $60.00, is it cleared?

That's the way it should be, if it was shipped by EMS then 2-3 days.

You can track it at here now to see if it was shipped yet : http://app1.hongkongpost.com/CGI/mt/enq ... pe=ems_out

with the tracking number provided, if you can track it, means the order shipped by EMS and Monday is the date of delivery if it's not hold by ACS.
Otherwise it'll take longer.

They always lower their selling prices but add more charges on shipping and handling to recover.

Actually Kris they can, and I do.

However I do clearly state when selling my item that charges are rough quotes and final quotes will be told once the item has sold.

Kris,

I made a purchase from Digital Rev 2 weeks ago, same postage method as you:EMS Express (2 to 3 day shipping).
Then got the same email as you: ...package will arrive in 7 to 10 days.
The item arrived within 3 working days. :D :D
So don't lose hope yet. :D

Cheers.
