Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with http://www.camerasdirect.com.au . They have pretty good prices although their website looks a little dodgy.

Also, does anyone have any comments about ordering lenses on-line then through the mail. How can you be sure they will be treated ok?

Any help appreciated.

I havent delt with them but their ABN checks out ok, been active since June 03... If they were dodgy they'd be gone by now.

About lenses through the mail. Just make sure they are packaged properly, and properly insured. That is about as good as it gets. I buy stuff from the East Coast and OS all of the time. There is very little that travels uninsured. Fortunately, I haven't had to make a claim yet which is all good considering that gear that comes through the post can spend a week banging around inside a bus cargo bin.

Cheers

The other positive thing is that they answered 2 of my emails within a few minutes plus gave me a phone number on which to contact them directly.

Thanks for all the feedback.
