once again thumbs up to PROTOG

Well what can be said that hasn't been said about this company. It is rare nowdays to find a company that will do everything they can to make sure you get the best equipment.

I purchased my softbox kit from Protog last month, and decided this month I would like a monopod with a clamp to hold my softbox on for easy transport -eg weddings moving from A to B without the big legs sticking out from the stand.
Now I gave Jeff a call, and he was so helpful, they had not long ago moved offices and he had to go searching for a clamp suitable, he was fantastic, he emailed through images of the monopod with the clamp attatched and also photo's with the softbox attached, so I got to see how it all worked before purchase. I also purchased a lot of other gear like eneloop batteries, reflector, bags etc.

Jeff if you read this, your bloody fantastic! Thanks for all you did and I hope that some other forum members get on board and support your business!!

Way ahead of you Kirsten. I have already bought my portable softbox from them. I swear this used to be called servaas or something similar? :?:

More thumbs up than Hopoate.... :biglaugh:

Had a problem with the charger purchased about a year ago. Emailed Jeff. Very quickly, he responded with a fault finding process. Identified the fault. Shipped the faulty item back and received a new one under warranty very, very quickly.

Top marks, Jeff and highly recommend Protog.

Haha, yes - very funny Patrick.

See this photo below? These are sculptures outside an office building here in Brisbane. A firm I used to work for is based there - Aon, the insurance brokers.

The building is known throughout Brisbane as the Hopoate Building!

yes, was very excited that the ever reliable servaas moved to protog and started selling other gear. the softbox quality is very good although the mount suffers from the same inherrant design flaws in the location of the thumbscrews which drive me stark raving f*ing mad.

Being in Melbourne, I had to think about who Hopoate was for a bit, rugby isn't so big down here, but then I remembered seeing him on 60 minutes and I had a laugh, and forwarded the link to one of the other guys here. Very good :)

I give up.
