Attention: Sydney mini meet 16/07/05

Postby birddog114 on Tue Jul 12, 2005 4:41 pm

I'll have the mini meet at my base this coming Saturday as usual.
If there's enough interest of Sydney based members.
Otherwise I'll let these meets off until the AW.
Your thoughts!

Birdog,

What happens at these mini meets?
As a complete newby I'd be interested to know I'm not there just to mow your lawn.

Warwick,

Come along and you'll be made more than welcome. Apart from getting to play with a ton of Nikon gear (sorry; that's just how it is) stuff like our Photoshop workshops, sensor cleaning instruction sessions, and the array of tripods (Gitzo, Manfrotto) and other hardware that's usually there is relevant for users of all brands of camera.

Plus, and again, regardless of your camera brand, we can show you some practical techniques that will help you get the best out your equipment, whomever makes it!

Looking forward to seeing you.

Hi Birdy,
Unfortunately Bel and I will be unable to attend. We're still saving and as a result working most week ends at the moment, we will however be at the AA meets with great gusto! Warwick, if you're reading this - the mini-meets are definately worth a trip out there..hop on the M5 and you're there in no time. We should organise to go altogether, you and me and our Mrs' 8) We can even go in your family wagon? Now that would be 8)

I hope and wish you soon achieve your goals! the more you guy were tortured at work, the more you'll wish to see the freedom of a week-end and enjoying your life.
I used to work 7 days a week and two jobs a days when I was in the US and now I know the down side of it.

P.S. Are you going to support Canon users with your super specials? Once I know what I want ( need ), I'll send you a PM. That is once I also have 30 posts. Geoff has leant me his smaller Lowepro bag until I get my own. Thanks geoff. Top bloke. :D

Stuff that's generic will be available to all. This includes our neck and wrist straps, polo shirts, cleaning gear, bags, printers, excessories, and so on.

I'm hopeful that Birddog will be able to establish a distribution line with Canon, but that's entirely his business, his decision, etc, and we need to be ever mindful that he does have a business to run and respectful of that in the way that we partake of his time.

And that's not even giving his family a run! :)

Ah ha - is there a stock of that cool neck strap? I think it's the one that you can take off the padding and make it into a little hand strap too. How much are they because I would be interested in one of them.

If you don't mind a late comer, I can get there about 10:30. Did a deal with my man last night...I will have to bring two of the short kind, but they are normally well behaved.

cheers

As I am bringing the eldest and the youngest I would suggest going for the newbie, he hasnt had much time to toughen up.
