Zsolt, close to home there are some boats usually moored on Georges River at Picnic Point (at the end of Carinya Rd - near Fitzpatrick Park). If you could get there around sunrise it should be still and provide for reasonable shots - and you could try there in the evening too.

Further away you have boats in Kogarah Bay. Or you could try heading in to Hen and Chicken Bay. There also are many locations in the bays in and around the City.

Cheers, Mick :) :) :)

Hi Zsolt,
Close to home, you can go down to the river at picnic point, there's a few boats anchored in the middle of the river there, but nothing very inspiring.
The spit bridge is pretty good for yachts.

Edit: Oscar beat me to it.

Much further from home, but potential for "Action" shots. There is an evening yacht race every summer monday in Middle Harbour. It is clearly visible from BeautyPoint (Mosman not the other one) It should also be good from CastleCrag, or , even, better on the water.

Its been a while since I have watched it, but it starts (or finishes???) at 18:00
Middle Harbour Yacht Club would be able to fill you in on the details. Be quick though, it only runs during Daylight Saving.
