Hunter Valley in August

Postby Colcam on Thu Jul 13, 2006 5:17 pm

I am taking an actual holiday for a few days in the Hunter Valley from 21st August until the following Friday. If anybody in the area is looking for someone to hang out with and spend a few hours with collecting "world class" images, please let me know. I am just looking to hang out & relax and do things I want to do for change instead of working. Sound familiar? :)

Col

We can arrange a meet easily - there are a few of us in the area. Do you want just the Hunter or is Newcastle & Port Stephens on your hit list? WHat sort of things would you like to see/do?

To give you a feel for what's here. Have a look at my Newcastle & Hunter galleries HERE BTW - you may notice I've moved this to the Sydney Forum if that's OK by you.

And those of us Sydney-siders can always take ShittyRail to get there...

Atleast you don't have to experience the Pacific Highway during a traffic Jam.

I will be staying at the Vintage Apartments in the wineries region if you want to shoot around Pokolbin, etc. Or, I can drop in to Newcastle one day. Your call. :) May even end up a mini meet in this for those who can get away in the middle of the week.
I am familiar with the area, so let me know. There is, as you know, many great shots to be had around the wineries if you can keep your hand steady enough after sampling. :P

Hunter Valley Gardens http://www.hvg.com.au/home.asp is probably worth a wander around. Just waving your mouse around on the main page of this site is entertaining enough
Anyway, I am on holidays then, so make a suggestion.
Maybe a vote for the preferred day if there are a few folk interested. I will keep tabs on the count. At this stage, my vote would be for Wed. to Friday
