I wouldn't take the Velbon. You will become a target for thieves and collectors. Leave it in a safe place and just make do with the Gitzo.

Hmmmm good idea. The Velbon has done ok by me in the past. It won't be TOO long before I get a tripod setup...maybe from the profts of this week end's wedding job?! :)

It seems my work schedule (:!:, I know, gotta keep Glen happy somehow  ) dictates that I miss either this or the minimeet. The minimeet suits me better, so it looks like I won't make this one guys. If things change I'll give you a bell Stubbsy. :)

Remembrance day festivities from here-

The Government of New South Wales will conduct a service to commemorate the 87th Anniversary of Remembrance Day at the Cenotaph in Martin Place on Friday, 11 November 2005 commencing at 10:30 am.

Official guests include Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of New South Wales, The Hon Morris Iemma MP, Premier of New South Wales, The Hon Tony Abbott MP, representing the Prime Minister of Australia, New South Wales and Commonwealth Opposition leaders (or their representatives), the Lord Mayor of Sydney, the Commissioner of Police, Senior Officers of the Defence Forces, representatives of Commonwealth governments and other countries including their Royal Highnesses Prince Aleksandar and Princess Katerina Karadjordjevic of Serbia and Montenegro.

Wreaths will be laid at the Cenotaph and after the Last Post is sounded, The Ode will be read by Mr Don Rowe OAM, State President of the Returned and Services League. At 11:00 am one minute's silence will be observed. The service is expected to conclude around 11:15 am when the Premier of New South Wales departs.

The Sydney Male Choir will perform hymns accompanied by the New South Wales Police Band and the Australian Army will form the Catafalque Party.

Princess Katerina Karadjordjevic sounds hawt and exotic... are the attendees interested in droping by for this service or a part of it? It would mean delaying the circular quay/ferry.... which would consequently place us at Manly in time for lunch. :) Then again, me being awake and it being 1:40am does not bode well for my on time arrival. Seeya there guys. ;)

That's a coffee right?

Because either that or it's illegal to do in public.

And it's certainly not something that one might utter in the USofA. :)
