Your comments just reminded me of the Americans getting annoyed with the French because they criticized them and refused to be part of the invasion of Iraq in 2003. The Americans in their ignorance decided to rename "French fries" as "Freedom fries", as a slap to the French. The French, who called them "Pommes Frites" and never "French fries" because they came from Belgium were more than amused.
