I haven't had much time (read: motivation) to shoot much over recent months. Dusted off the ol' Xpro2/35 F1.4, (attached an el cheapo Cactus flash trigger along with my 15 year old Canon EX430 for a few shots), and here's some results:

These are excellent and just go to show what the Fuji X-pro and the 35mm 1.4 lens are capable of in the hands of a competent photographer. Nice work.

Thanks Matt. I have to photograph (officially) a wedding late next month (September) and I'm trying to get back into practice. Bit scary when it's a few years since the last time I was official photographer but all will be right on the night. I hope!

Ozi, they are excellent. I like the first one best because of the angle. Isn't she a beauty!

The first one, not just the angle, but also how the focus softens over the depth of the image.

The second could be improved just a tad had not the foot/shoe been cut off at the bottom.

that first one nailed it. The DOF and expression, just perfect :)
I think the backdrop in the 2nd and 4th have not done you any favours

Point taken. Robyn is making me a brand new backdrop for my new studio, which doesn't exist yet :biglaugh:. Actually it's just the garage, and the beautiful backdrop is currently a couple of large fibre sheets for my bathroom renovation, which also doesn't yet exist but will someday. In the future. Some time. When I get around to it.
