Re: Loadmaster HDRI love the reflection of the twin huey in the visor, skin colours make it seem more like a video game character than a real person! Was that taken in victoria?

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Loadmaster HDRawesome shot. i agree the reflection is fantastic. LOVE the processing actually apart from the severe halo's around the shed/ sky. is there any way you can get rid of that or tone it down ?

Re: Loadmaster HDR
Took this one in Dili, East Timor her skin was really bad due to the HDR processing had to soften it a fair bit. (used some of scott kelbys tricks to fix it, it does look very soft). Will have a go at reducing the halo around the shed, thanks for your CC "Old school" (Olympus OM 1&2SP )
Re: Loadmaster HDRHello Craig
It is an interesting image. However, the halos don't help and the skin colour is rather strange and maybe a bit posterised. What were you trying to achieve or was this purely a technical exercise? I'd be interested to see the difference between this and a single RAW file optimised in Lightroom for shadow and highlight detail. Regards, Murray
Re: Loadmaster HDRI like the composition. You got it right. The repeating shape of the helmet and the shed is subtle but effective. It takes a good eye to put it together.

Re: Loadmaster HDRVery nice image! I agree with the skin tones being a bit exaggerated and the halos, but the first thing I thought was "great image" I love the big grin on her and was simply amazed that you have done a HDR portrait!

Re: Loadmaster HDRThanks for your Critiques and Comments, I will have another go at this one and try to get rid off the halos.
I think the skin will be a tough one, lets see what I can do. "Old school" (Olympus OM 1&2SP )
Re: Loadmaster HDRThe detail in the headgear is great but, yeah, skin tones and halos detract. Just a thought - try reprocessing with two, then three frames to see whether that tames the unwanted effects and still gives reasonable detail. A shot worth persisting with IMO.
Re: Loadmaster HDRLove the reflection, and I agree with all of the above. If the skin is a hard nut to crack what about toning it down a little- you could easily drop a few shades without losing any detail. Or you could go the other way and go for that comic strip poster look.
Re: Loadmaster HDRHalos don't bother me Craig. A tremendous image and a great keepsake. How did the youngster stay so still?
