ZigView LCD Monitor.

Hi all,

I'm sure you all get the dpReview newsletter, but for those who don't, this little unit seems very interesting.

http://www.intro2020.co.uk/pages/zigview.htm

It attaches to the viewfinder of your D70 (I think - it says Nikon viewfinders, but there is no model list) and displays what is hapenning in their on a 1.9" TFT screen. Excellent for Macro or crowd photopraphy. the price is 199 pounds. If enybody in Melbourne gets their hands on one of these I would love to have a play.

Plus it's also currently linked in the Headlines area on the Forum home page.

How many of you are interested to buy one? I may be able to organise a bulk purchase if there are sufficient interest.

regards,

Arthur

I'd be very interested, but it would need to be substantially cheaper than the quoted price... that is just way 2 expensive...
Cheers, John

Its nearly AU$500.00 + freight from UK + GST, looking for around AU$600.00.
It's better to invest your dough in new lenses, even bulk buy, you guys may get around AU$550.00 or over.

Birdy, I'm not interested in one, but your maths is a bit off  They retail in the UK for 127 pounds (with adapter) which works out at $AU300. When you consider that you wouldn't have pay UK VAT on an export, it would be less than that (or at worst cover our GST). Even delivered by courier in a gold plated box wouldn't account for the other $AU300 you allowed.

Just noticed where Birdy made his maths error and it's not his fault  The original poster kurokaze made a typo and wrote 199 instead of 119 pounds

Sure does Peter and that's why I'm not interested, especially as no-one wants to give me job as a PJ and I have no interest in taking macros of the underside of a snake  BTW, did you get a PM I sent you about a week ago?

John,
Even at that price it's still expensive and looks funny on the D70, I'm wondering how many of them are they selling so far?
Better of leave the dough for lusting something else.
