Nikkor 200mm f4 Macro - A stunner of a lens

Postby Matt. K on Mon Mar 28, 2005 2:15 pm

On Saturday I had a little play around with the above lens, (at Birdies, where else?), and it impressed the socks off me! I fell instantly in love with this hunk of glass. The build quality is exceptional and the optics are razor sharp. The boke, (I prefer the correct spelling), is beautiful and the macro capabilities outstanding. This was a very easy lens to use and a hard lens to give back. It's now on my wish list.
The enclosed pics show an image and some crops. I hope my posting routine does the lens justice.

Fantastic shots Matt and the clarity of that lens comes through brilliantly. Just another thing on my wish list....

Matt. K,

WOW factor, very impressive work MK.

I too had the opportunity to use this lens, and this is one of my shots:

Birddog114,

In August, 2005 I might just have to take another test drive with it, of course with your permission 8).
It would be a terrible shame if I could not disconnect it from my D70 body  . What is it, possession is 9/10th of the law  .

You've got the RED X BTW, I have the Nikkor 180 as well but not prefer as a micro lens.
