Filters - Marumi DHG Protect

Postby aim54x on Wed Mar 26, 2008 12:23 am

Just thought I would share something good that I have discovered.

I use these and found that they do a better job than the Hoya SUPER HMC.
These have a 3mm frame, to reduce vignetting, and have satin edges, black inked glass and multi coating on both sides of the glass to reduce the effect of reflections.

In comparison to the Hoya's that I have used, SUPER HMC, MC (purple box) and HMC, I have found the Marumi thinner, easiar to keep clean and present with fewer vignetting and glare issues.

Why not check out Tiffen's HT filters, they're great, titanium coated! :P Seriously, they're great quality filters.

Actually, the cost of Tiffen ones isn't that far off from Hoya Pro1Ds if you search for them on Adorama.
