It did, but in order to help reduce spam posts, the first few posts of every new member are now held for approval by one of the mods, so they don't actually appear until that occurs.

Cheers.

Considering the amount of spam we have been getting this is a good measure, I just hope that you are not facing too steep a workload

I'm not planning on getting my toes wet. Only my head and hands. Of course, if the dry suit leaks again. :/

biggerry wrote:It does look like a nice location with some sweet jettys, let me know if they are accessible eh?

Accessible as in wheelchair access or are you allowed? They are not really wheelchair accessible.

On the western side of Chowder Bay (pronounced "Chow-Dah" like Freddy Quimby), the jetty is fully open to the public and is used mostly by fisherman. On the eastern side the one that faces west is used by Plunge Diving but I don't think they own it so you should be fine. The ones facing south are part of the Navy and I don't think you'll allowed there.

Postby Reschsmooth on Tue Nov 20, 2012 7:26 am

The new list is:

Rodney + 2
Philo (& Matt)
Gerry (& better 0.5 plus damage)
Gary (+ Jose)
Ozi
Steffen
Suren
Peter (+ vino}
Andrew
M Allen T + wife

Is anyone missing?

So I make it 18 people (plus our 2 who will most likely be hiding :) )

Andrew is bringing beer
Peter is bringing potato salad
Gerry is bringing non-alcoholic drinks
Rodney is bringing bread rolls
Gary can bring some cheese and bickies, and some snags

We also need:

Another two salads
Chips/cheese/nibbles/etcetera
Sausages (I am getting steak and maybe chicken)

If anyone has chairs they can easily bring, can they be brung please? We may have enough, but it would be nice to have spares.

I think that should do it. If I have missed anything, let me know.

I will PM my address soon.

One final thing: If it is wet, it will become quite intimate inside :)

I've not put my hand up at this stage as projects on the go might have had me offline on very short notice.
It's looking like Sunday would be good for me, though, if a late entry of 1 is not too rude?

I'd be happy to provide some dessert in way of admission

Pasta salad locked in, is there anything else I should bring? What time do we start?

Cheers

We shall be expecting guests from about 12 midday. I will suggest everyone come down the side path. The gate shall be open.

Great food, drink, weather and company. Thanks Patrick for your hospitality.

Mattk mentioned a cityscape night shoot which we could do before Christmas.

Heaps of thinks to Patrick and Alicia for a fabulous afternoon....excellent food cooked in the finest tradditon of MasterChef... and great company. It was great to catch up with everyone and nice to see Ozimax turn up...he came a long way to join in. Lots of nice camera gear to look at and it was just wonderful to see Patrick put the hose on and wet down Andrews $10,000 worth of camera gear. Thank God for Scotch-Guard eh, Andrew? :D :D :D
Nice to see Martin and Karin, (hope I spelled that right), turn up and let's hope we can get even more new members into the fold and reap the benefits of the forum.
Photos will follow shortly....take cover! :D :D :D
Regards

It was a great afternoon. Thanks to everyone. My photos (from my pre-barbecue session) are still loading into Lightroom.

keen as always - i would also put out a option for sunrise in the city one day, if you pick the right time of the year you can get the sun to rise down one of the east/west-ish streets (august)

hey another one I have been super keen on is light painting out at the plantation near richmond, need a few bodies for that one

I too would like to echo a sincere thanks to Patrick and Alicia for their hospitality, and to all who contributed culinary-wise to the afternoon. It was good to catch up with some familiar faces, and some new ones.

I look forward to (hopefully) attending a mini-meet somewhere, sometime in the new year.
