I attended a Eddie Soloway lecture run by International Park Tours yesterday at Binna Burra Mountain Lodges in SEQ.

The lecture ran for 3 1/2 hours (1/2 longer than planned) and cost me just $30.

Eddie is a great lecturer and easy to listen to. His image making is not entirely my cup of tea but it has given me inspiration to try using some of his techniques just for experimentaion and to justify attending the course!

Highly recommended.

Here is some of the blurb from the organisers website:

Putting the Wow in Your Nature and Travel Photography

Join us for a fun, creative, and idea-filled afternoon with US based photographer, Eddie Soloway. Learn how to sharpen your skills, fine-tune your techniques, and most importantly, bring home photographs that rise from postcard snapshots to spectacular memories. Eddie lectures on creativity and photography for National Geographic Traveller as well as leading international photography schools and workshops. Pick up new ideas and inspiration - for travelling around the world or across your backyard. Note: this is a presentation only (not a practical workshop requiring your camera).

There are repeats of the same lecture scheduled in Melbourne (Sat 10/09), Canberra (Thu 15/09) and Sydney (Sat 17/09).

Your entry fee includes afternoon tea.
