Just a quick thought on the actual selling side of this... will it be that just the single print is for sale, or will it be able to be purchased multiple times? So that at the end of the show the extra sales can be printed and sent?

I see no reason why you could not sell multiple copies.

No Commission on any sales, only cost of re-print if they want it done again for themselves.

In regard to postage - there is the courier option which I will give more details on at the end of the weekend. At the end I will organise all the images to be shipped out to respective owners.

Oh! If prints are sold, what price are they sold for? How much do we get?

I guess charge whatever you think is appropriate for your image - although maybe some thought here might be good, suggestions?

Yes, I saw the comment about the no commission - multiple times. That's not what I'm asking. I don't want to just give away my intellectual capital.

As to what to charge, I'm at a loss. If I run it through the Alamy calculator, a single run of an A1 print for a personal use display for a duration of 3 years in Australia (the closest thing I can get) would be US@545 (not including printing costs). If I increase this to a 5 print run it goes to US$645 (total) which works out at US$129 per print. That still seems a bit much. Maybe AU$70 to $100 would be about right. i.e. sell the prints for between $200 and $230.

Can Callan comment on what things sell for?

Perhaps prints should be priced at a similar level as not to create in-equality.

good point Suren, i agree here

at the end of the day its up to you what you sell it for and how much.

I recall seeing most prints for sale (of this size) from 200-350 depending on the shot and the tog.

Feel free to drop Callan a line or email to confirm.

I agree, 100%. Which was why I was asking here in this thread so we could get a consensus.

Hello, haven't been on for awhile so am a bit late to the party here. This sounds like such a fab idea, but I'm such a newbie I'm not sure I've anything even half worth getting printed on a 25cm square canvas!

Great to have the contact of the business hosting it for us though, and I think it's a great way for such businesses and photographers to support each other by doing something like this. Am looking forward to seeing shots of members' exhibits... unfortunately the drive from outback Queensland is too far even with the promise of boozage and nibblies at the end. Hope you all have fun!

As a late entrant (potentially) can you clear up a few things.
What are the specs for the image:
e.g. Size, format, colour space etc
