Rats! Since you've used my suggestion for the name of this event, I suppose I'll have to participate now :!:
Should there be a leeway of, say, +/- 5 or 10 minutes each side of midday, just to allow a bit of time to capture a range of shots?

No, not at all.

No restrictions, no subject or theme: just shoot something post it.

He is trying to say are 'newly registered members' allowed in. Not just the long time lurkers here.

Old Bob,
We have no classification in being full member or newbie to post down here. Feel free to snap and post! Welcome to the forums also.

Should have made this an email for gstark.
Having computer lockout problems again, and I was unable to load a second window to browse the original thread.
Apologies for any confusion.

No worries.

That wiull probably be because you're crossing domain boundaries. The links I gave were to the .com domain; I'll bet that you use the .net domain, and therefore using the provided link caused you to be in a logged-out state at the target link.

Happens to me all the time. Just change the link target before you go there, and all will be well.

The regular challenges are only open to "full" members, though. That may have been the focus of Bob's question.
