Melbourne AW Weekend Dinner?

Postby Greg B on Mon Jul 13, 2009 7:04 am

As you have probably noticed from Gary's posts, the forum's Anniversary Weekend
is approaching - this year it will be an astonishing five years since the then
named D70 Users was formed.

The Sydney AW Dinner is on Saturday 8 August.

Do we have any interest in a Melbourne inner/lunch that weekend?

Possible options-
Saturday 8 August, dinner, or
Sunday 9 August, lunch

Somewhere cheapish and central, for example
- one of the many Vietnamese restaurants along Victoria Street Richmond, or
- one of the pizza joints in Carlton, or
- other suggestions welcome.

Sadly I will be in Sydney for the city to surf (my fiance is running in it). I could potentially do the Friday (7th) night after work though.

Greg, we've been pretty quiet here in Melbourne for a while now, so a get together for the anniversary would be good. As I already have a lunch booking on Sunday 9 Aug, saturday night dinner somewhere would be good.

---- sound of crickets chirping ----

Not much action on the Melbourne AW dinner front by the look of things.

Since the only positive response is for a dinner on Saturday 8 Aug (thanks photograham),
that will be the prospective date.

However, we are a looong way from having enough takers to get this baby going.

So, one last time, any interest? Or has the whole project done a Michael Jackson? (i.e. died)

Enjoy the homeland Carlos!

At the moment I'm open for either Sat dinner or Sunday lunch that weekend. Best to lock things in soon though, as the calendar fills up fast!

Is anyone going to meet up this coming weekend in Melbourne or not?

need to try again later.

Just pointing out ... Sunday 6th Sep is Father's Day and some may have other plans for that night becuase of that...

Personally that night is no good for me (father's day  and daughter's birthday). ... but the week after is probably ok for me

Hi All...
Thanks for thinking of me to add to this invite list.
I have been over in NZ for a couple of weeks... taking photos and being a judge at the NZ photography awards
Anyway, I am going to be over in South Australia that weekend so I will have to give it a miss... keep in touch but!
cheers for now, Ants

Have been out of town for a few day, so I have not been able to reply or add any suggestions. Because of where we live, SE suburbs would be great for us. But, we can travel. Thought Victoria St, Richmond? was the probability??????
