and have a CCD clinic with him and maybe others.
Then at the next 'Adelaide Meet' we can hold our own clinic.

Also I am willing to bring back to Adelaide small items from Birddog's ie CF Cards, 'T' Shirts, Grip Strap etc, please refer to 'Merchandise Section'. Only proviso is that all item (s) must be ordered well in advance and prepaid. This will save on shipping cost (s). Delivery arrrangments can be catered for by PM after my return.

When ordering, please use: D70Gear@D70Users.com

Cheerio,
:)

You can fly up to Sydney this Saturday and that will solve your problem in a few minutes. Returned airfare is cheaper than you've paid Nulabs today.

Thank you for your information.

Too late :( , as I am already booked on 'Virgin'.

Cheers,

Virgin have the reputation for the best looking hosties  Good to keep Qantas and their affiliates honest

Plus $45 or thereabouts in surcharges, fees, and taxes.

Ok .. there's some taxes, but what, exactly are the fees and surcharges, and why are they not a part of the fare?

Talk about Qantas doubletalk!

I'd rather fly Virgin than Jetstar. You never know where their staff have been.

Glen,

I have just looked up Jetstar website, no flights from Adelaide to Sydney or return. I didn't want to get into the hosties thing, but I do agree with you  .

ta ta for now,
:)

Don't be foolled by $1 or $9 flights. It's bollocks.

I just came back from overseas where I think I payed a total of about $500 in airport taxes and fuel levies.

Hi Fozzie!
Thanks for the offer! I might take you up on that. I've been thinking of getting one of those rocket blowers and a grip strap. Will get off my butt and organise one in the next week or so.
I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing break and enjoy your time in Sydney!
Marvin

So, how much the real fare to Sydney right now from Melbourne?
$59.00? $69.00$ one way? you'll have more chance to enjoy Sydney, touch the legs of the Gitzo girlie  , comparing balls (ballhead)
Play with the 200-400VR, all free mate! and many other goodies which you never ever seen in Melbourne shops.

fozzie, have a great trip to Sydney, I know Birdy will make you feel very welcome.

Now, pet peeve rant warning. MISLEADING advertising, it really craps me off, Jetstar with their fare (oh yeah, plus fees, surcharges, more surcharges, taxes) or Hoyts $9-50 online tickets , yay (oh yeah , plus $1 booking fee - bastards) some stupid bank with it's no monthly fees (fees and government charges apply), how the hell is this allowed to happen. I am going to write some letters. BASTARDS. (Yes, this annoys me, and I get a bit thingy about it. Nothing to do with anybody here, sorry to vent.Have a nice day.)

At the moment 'Birddog114 Taxi Service' which is a 20 minutes drive from his base to Airport. My Motel is 5 minutes away from his base by car. This has been carefully planned and I am :D with the arrangements.
I am also looking forward to this trip, come on Good Friday. Wishing my life away again.

Cheers,

I have already ordered something from Birddog to collect, so I have saved on item over retail RRP, free taxi ride, and also no shipping cost, what an absolute bargin :) . The trick is, can I resist buying anything else while I am there, that is the question :?: .

No.

And Greg, I'm with you on your rant. Pisses me off too.

Big time.

Fozzie,

It has been known that once you step into Birddog's house with a big wad of cash in your wallet, upon leaving you will find most of the cash has disappeared. This phenomena has only occured in two places for me, Birdogs house and the Casino, the good thing about Belmore is that you also walk out with a gold box :D

It's funny, it's never happened to me... then again, I've never made it to the "big wad of cash in your wallet" stage, so I can't really comment, can I?

Nnnnsic, but you are walking around with a D70, aren't you?

Nice thought about the 'GOLD BOX', but my photography budget will not permit.

Goodbye for now,
:)

Just a friendly reminder to order/pay/no shipping cost [Sydney/Adelaide] from Birddog114 @ D70Gear@D70Users.com and for me to act as carrier pigeon (one-way).

If you arrive at the airport on a weekend I will pick you up and take you to Birdie's. Also, I am, (apparently) the CCD cleaning guru. Many forum members have come to the CCD clinic and after much instruction by me have left with more dust bunnies then they started with. However, because you are coming around Easter time I will ensure you only leave with Easter bunnies! Look forward to meeting you!

My aircraft landed at 11:10am and we were gone by 11:50am. Not aware of any incident at the 'AP', what time was it :?:

I am getting old - can’t remember the time but an Air Pacific plane was leaking oil onto a wheel so they stopped short and off loaded all passengers on to a bus jus incase of fire.

Can not remeber the time, not a sign of getting old, just that you started drinking a bit too early  .

So entering the centre of the Universe is Sydney, so that is why the aircaft dropped about 3 metres (air pocket) about 5 minutes before landing  .

I wasn't in the car 20 seconds and the beast was in my hands. It is absolutely 'AWSOME'. I handed it back after awhile for fear of dropping it, I can not afford to replace it :!:
