Clipsal 500

Postby Jonesy on Sat Feb 24, 2007 10:10 am

Well with a week to go and predicted temps hitting 40 is anyone going?

Maybe a meet? I'm travelling on Friday to be at track on Saturday and Sunday, General Admission pass for both days and a padock pass for one of the days.
(hopefully a D200 by then as well :D )

Who else is going? Adelaide/SA members unite!

Cheers

Jonesy

I am going on thursday and saturday..meeting up with adame and I think fozzie is comming on saturday. Yes I will be very hot but you cant miss the best race in town. It was hot last year too, just drink plenty of fluid..There are lots of spots where there is shade for a break from the heat.

I will be there on Saturday only. Securing a General Admission ticket from 'BASS' during the week, with a view of purchasing a Paddock Pass prior to entry.

Big V and I were considering a meeting time of 9:30am, but location undecided. Look forward to everyone's comments.

I plan to be heading in on Saturday. I normally lurk around the paddock and the far side of pit straight. I'll head down to the general area sometime to check out the displays.

Majority seems to be for a Saturday... and if Big V and Fozzie dont mind a few extras crashing in then a saturday morning 'mini meet' at the track sounds like the way to go. wonder through the General Ad areas and grab a paddock pass on the way in.

what do we think

I've secured tickets for Thursday & Saturday as well - Sunday I've been invited to a bbq at a friend's house (they're in the track but not in the GA area, so I'm still not sure I can get much further in).

I spent all day at the track yesterday, haven't even unloaded the CF from my camera yet, was so exhausted when I got home I just flaked into bed via the shower (it was SO hot yesterday - today will be worse).

I'm back on track tomorrow & Sunday. Hope to catch up with everyone!

Cheers

Fozzie, 721 shots to unload and how do you select from that? As I said, will set up a "special folder" and trust me, it will be busy... Just finishing an article, then will get around to it - have to clear the cards for tomorrow - whoo hoo. I will be at turn 8 at 8.30!!!

Big V - only 721 shots. You still had room for another 279. Just as well you purchased a 4GB CF card.

Look forward to your "Special Folder" with a lock, so robw25 can not access

I've got a rotten head cold, I need to be there for a few hours around lunch (work commitments), but probably won't be wondering around much - depends how I feel. End of the pits was a good corner for us (Big V, Fozzie, self) today, shots going up soon...

"Clerk of Course" - isn't it obvious enough? (someone needed to put a white mark after "Clerk" in the form of a comma.
